5 Worst Jets Games Under Head Coach Rex Ryan

In the last post I mentioned how I drank the Rex Kool-Aid and bought into this we're the best team in the league business. But, since I'm depressed over the two game losing streak I will reflect on the 5 Jets' games since Rex Ryan took over as Head Coach. Side note: This is all based on how miserable I felt after the game.

5
New York Jets - 17 at Baltimore Ravens - 34
10/2/11
So fresh in my memory. It took every ounce of my being to be objective and not make this number 1. I never turn off a Jets game and I turned off this one. What did we see? An piss-poor offensive line and offensive performance in general. One offensive scoring drive for three points. I mean c’mon man.

Atlanta Falcons - 10 at New York Jets - 7
12/20/09
This was the game where Rex declared the Jets out of the playoffs. We all know what happened (Made the playoff lost in the AFC Championship Game). It was cold and miserable. No running attack, no pass attack, no nothing. I toyed with putting the shut out loss to Green Bay or the 9-6 loss to the ravens, but I clearly remember being one exceptionally miserable Jets fan that day.

New York Jets - 3 at New England Patriots  - 45
12/6/10
I know what you're thinking, how is this number one? Because it was in the regular season. A smart Jets Fans already knows what games are 1 and 2. But, another reason why I have it at there is because we got our revenge in the playoffs. Again, yours truly was there first hand to witness it and honestly it was the greatest day of my life. But 45-3, I mean c’mon man.

AFC Championship- New York Jets- 17 at Indianapolis Colts- 30 1/24/10
I hate you Peyton Manning. How do you figure it all out? The Jets had a lead at the half and could have possibly set the tone for the second half but went three and out and by that time, Peyton had already started his comeback. Reminiscent of the AFC Championship loss to the Broncos in 1998-99.  Lukoil Staudium was so loud and we were on such a high beating San Diego the week before. That loss killed me. Worst day ever. You can’t win the AFC Championship if you only play one half of football.

AFC Championship- New York Jets- 19 at Pittsburgh Steelers- 24 1/23/11
This was the worst day ever. Worse than the year before. We almost came back. Please refer to the last game I mentioned, “You can’t win the AFC Championship by playing one half of football.” This was the opposite. We didn’t show up in the first half and finally started to fight in the second. Too little too late. I’m still getting over this. I hate the Steelers, I hate the town, and I hate all their stupid championships. I was so happy they lost to the Packers in the Super Bowl. Well, I wasn’t that happy because I was still really bummed.
